Before we can start with the butterfly skulls though i'll have to draw a human skull (2D)
reference book: Anatomy Lessons from the Great masters- Robert Beverly Hale (743 HAL)
After this the Butterflies must be made (3D) so that they can be moved whilst in 'flight'.
Reference book: Insects in flight: a glimpse behind the scene in biophysical research- Werner Nachtigall.
The frames will show the butterflies flying individually away from the skull, which then becomes animated and chases them to eat them back up! :)
A possibility is that the butterflies wings could be made of paper mache and be joined in the middle (almost like a hinge) so that the wings can be moved around seperately to show them in flight. My plan is the skull to be drawn providing contrast to the butterflies.
